Hello All,
I found this site as a result of a google search. "Help identifying an Altec speakers"
My church has 4 speakers hanging from the ceiling.
We're in the process of bidding out the replacement of the entire sound system.
One of the contractors stated the speakers we had could be sold to collectors or even back to the maker.
I believe they're Altec.
Anyone recognize them? What model

No way, shape, or form even close to being Altecs.
Horn looks like an 80's EV hr90. Those are not a major manufacturer- possibly locally built. I was running a large retail operation at that point and am familiar with most of the mainstream gear.
Sorry to take the stars out of your eyes, but the guy who told you that had no clue. Those are not at all collectible. Top dollar is likely around 150 or so a box.

With a couple bucket-o-subs, those would make a nice surround setup (with a piezo tweeter on each one of course.)

The cabinets look like Cerwin Vega, but the horns look EV....... did EV have a cabinet like that too?

ABG here is a similar box from EV- note the ports.

Agreed- it was common in the late 70's into the 80's, cabs would be carpeted, and aluminum corner metal installed. But these look more like the installer did not trust the integrity of the boxes and built a metal framing to help fly them. Don't want a cabinet coming apart over people's heads.
